I love games, and I see game systems in everything around me.

I seek out (and sometimes create) roles that blend software engineering, design, and technical art.

In 2012, I founded GameStart School with my best friend David Arditti. We had the privilege of dedicating 6 years to an entrepreneurial pursuit of these ideas. We designed curriculum, developed software, trained instructors, and worked with local communities. We led hundreds of classes together.

Having seen how deliberate playfulness could become a chaperone to wellbeing in afterschool education, we began exploring new applications.

A well designed game can teach us about ourselves and our place in the world. Our next step was adapting our materials to empower youth navigating the juvenile justice system.

We also discovered some wonderful specialists at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, where we began transporting young patients to new realms by co-creating virtual reality experiences with them.

By 2017 our little experiment had blossomed into a humming social enterprise.

In 2018 David and I officially joined forces with GameChanger Charity, where I’m currently operating as CTO to execute on our ideals at a much larger scale.

In early 2020, I joined the Developer Relations team at Magic Leap. This journey was sadly cut short amidst COVID-19 restructuring.

I’m grateful for the journey so far, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
